RFD Welcomes Fenton Long To Key Management Position
Safety and marine leisure product specialist RFD has appointed Fenton Long to manage the company in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. Effective immediately, Fenton Long’s new role covers the management of marine sales, liferaft servicing/certification and improvement of the RFD lifejacket manufacturing cell.
Whatever the weather conditions, the Aquaglide Paddlesurf is a must have for all water sport enthusiasts who crave time spent on the water. The Paddlesurf board design provides a strong and stable base for surfing, paddle boarding and windsurfing while offering strength in construction for durable performance and maximum fun.
At the centrepiece of the Aquaglide Paddlesurf is the skilfully crafted paddleboard designed by legendary Hawaiian board shaper John Amundson. The Amundson 11’3” paddle board is available with an array of accessories to transform the way time is spent on water.
The Amundson 11’3” is the ideal platform for learning paddleboard sports with a broad beam for stability and tough Duractec™ construction to withstand knocks and scrapes. Creating the Duractec™ toughness involves thermo-laminating a thin layer of ASA plastic to the board’s bottom and sides while a full-length EVA deck pad moulded to the top of the EPS Polystyrene foam core provides superior traction.
The Aquaglide Paddlesurf board comes equipped with the unique Paddleguard™ rails. Designed to protect the outer edge of the board from wayward paddle strokes, the Paddleguard™ rails contain a high-density rubber laminated to the outer rails of the board to protect the Paddlesurf in and out of the water.
For those wishing to explore the ocean horizon under their own steam, Aquaglide Paddlesurf offers a choice of paddles- the Aluminium Fixed Length and Aluminium Vario Length. The Fixed paddle offers two lengths at 1.87m (75”) and 2.02m (81”) while the Vario Length paddle spans from 1.62m (65”) to 2.1m (84”) in length.
Made with the finest 6061 aluminium, the Fixed and Vario aluminium paddles offer outstanding lightweight characteristics and are matched to a strong injection-moulded paddle blade.
The Aquaglide Paddlesurf comes into a world of it’s own when matched to the optional Sailing Rigs. Available in two sail rig options each with two sizes of sail, the Paddlesurf can be customised to suit a range of wind conditions and sailboard experience.
Perfectly suited to beginner sailors, kids or those needing a lightweight and affordable sailboard platform, the Pilot Rig offers two sails at 3.1m2 and 4.1m2 and features a 2-batten Dacron sail design with a 3.5 meter, 3-piece aluminium mast.
Step up in size and performance to the Reflex Rig with a 4-batten Dacron sail designed as the ideal all-rounder. A 5.1m2 and 6.1m2 sail is matched to a 4.3m 2-piece epoxy mast with heavy-duty aluminium clamp-on boom with pin adjustable tailpiece.
