CruiseCraft Builds on the Explorer Legend
A pioneering new boating project is unfolding at Australia’s premiere fibreglass boat manufacturer with CruiseCraft almost concluding the development of a totally new 685 Explorer model.

Harnessing the same award winning design criteria that has made the Explorer model designation so well respected, the CruiseCraft team has created an entirely new hull and deck mould to forge new ground for the CruiseCraft marque.

The new model is slated for launch towards the end of the first quarter in 2007.

The 6.85m hull and deck remain true to the formula that made the Explorer range a legend in fishing circles. With an enormous fishing cockpit, broad cabin and the capability to carry the customer’s choice of single or twin outboard engines, the new 685 Explorer is set to win points with serious fishing enthusiasts looking for style and performance plus expansive fishing space out the back.

CruiseCraft has enjoyed great success with the current range of Explorer models with the popular Explorer 625 gathering a host of accolades including the 2005 AMIF Fishing Boat of the Year and Modern Fishing Boat of the Year 2006. Fulfilling the expectations of blue water fishing enthusiasts around Australia, the new CruiseCraft 685 Explorer has the pedigree, the innovation and the history to ensure a successful launch in late summer of 2007.

“It’s not every day that we undertake a boat project with so much history and expectation,” said CruiseCraft Sales and Marketing Manager, Peter Benston.

“We have answered the call of our customers who are looking for more fishing room in the cockpit and more space to handle a weekend offshore with their mates. Our response is the CruiseCraft Explorer 685 with combines the successful layout of the Explorer 625 and the unmatched classic CruiseCraft performance. The result is sure to create quite a stir.”

Adding the list of cockpit and storage improvements, the new CruiseCraft 685 Explorer also features a modular instrumentation panel to accommodate the huge array of electronic equipment needed for the offshore environment. The broad cabin of the 685 now also features a fully lockable sliding door for privacy and security.

Along with the new Explorer 685 innovations, the list of standard Explorer features remains including stainless steel fittings, transom door and boarding ladder, padded coamings, underfloor storage, EPIRB and foam filled hull.

CruiseCraft is a wholly family owned, third generation Australian boat manufacturing business, operating from their Brisbane manufacturing facility. CruiseCraft boats are distributed exclusively through a network of authorised Dealers throughout Australia and selected international markets.
