Based near the picturesque water at Mandurah, ABC Crane Hire began 8½ years ago and has since become one of the most flexible mobile crane hire companies in the area.
“In our game, anywhere there is a lifting requirement you will find us,” said company Director Jamie Jones.
“From housing and construction to vehicle accident and boat recovery, I have seen just about everything. We have even assisted with an antique piano lift at a multi-story property for one of our clients.”
ABC Crane Hire’s new arrival, the Tadano GT-550E Hydraulic Truck Crane, is widely regarded as the most adaptable cranes currently available on the world market. With a 55 tonne lifting capacity, 83 km/h ground speed, 42m boom and user friendly controls, the GT-550E is already taking pride of place at ABC Crane Hire.
“Over the initial 3 weeks of operation we managed to clock up 100 hours. The Tadano is just so simple to use with easy controls and a very user friendly computer,” said Jamie Jones.
The new GT-550E is the second Tadano for Jamie Jones and the 6th addition to the ABC Crane Hire fleet. Still faithfully in service, ABC’s first Tadano was a 1989 model TG 500E-2, a strong testament to the Tadano name.
“Our first Tadano was a superb crane that continues to serve us very well. The first time we had anything to do with James Equipment was when we needed to source parts for our old Tadano workhorse,” said Jamie Jones
“Just after James Equipment established their Perth office, Rob Hunter came down and introduced himself. After all that we had seen and heard about Tadano, and after eyeballing the quote Rob had put in front of us for an upgrade, we thought we’d take the leap and buy our first new crane. It’s just magnificent.”
“We had been well looked after in the past with James Equipment’s spare parts supply and we were very impressed with how Rob Hunter presented himself and the James Equipment company,” said Jamie Jones.
One of the biggest differences the ABC team has noticed about their new Tadano recruit is the stability of the rig under load. The GT-550E does not require any outrigging for balance and Jamie Jones was considerably impressed with the solid feel of the crane when undertaking 360° swinging loads.
Establishing a solid reputation over 15 years, James Equipment has a broad knowledge base of crane engineering and a large network of international suppliers to draw upon. Serving the crane industry right across Australia, Melbourne-based James Equipment has an excellent range of used cranes in stock from international manufacturers including Demag, Kato, Liebherr, and Kobelco.
