Developed at Tadano’s European manufacturing base in Germany, the Tadano All-Terrain line-up features 7 models ranging in size from 30 tonne, up to the commanding 160 tonne ATF 160G-5.
A stunning introduction onto the world stage, two models from Tadano’s All-Terrain range took out Crane-of-the-Year accolades in 2004-2005. Announced by Germany’s premier crane and heavy transport magazine Kran & Schwertransport, the high-profile awards saluted the ATF 80-4 in the 4-Axle class and the ATF 160G-5 in 5-Axle class category.
“Such distinction is an assurance to the Australian market that Tadano is a world class company, building world class cranes,” said James Equipment Managing Director, Brendan James.
“The Tadano brand is built on the solid foundation of Japanese engineering quality which has found broad acceptance across the globe. The new All-Terrain range of cranes will suit a broad range of markets because of their off-road agility and top speed performance.”
Tadano’s All-Terrain range is the ideal compromise between off-road strength and highway speed. Mercedes-Benz diesel technology powers both the truck carriers and the crane superstructures while sophisticated four-piston, cross-shift joystick levers are employed to deliver both precise simultaneous and independent crane movements.
Crane operators no longer need to sacrifice highway speed and quicker travelling times in order to deliver true off-road agility and strength. The award-winning 80 tonne ATF 80-4 reaches a top speed of 78kph fully loaded- nearly doubling the max highway figures reached by comparable rough-terrain cranes.
Without question, the unique ‘cable-free’ Tadano ATF series crane booms boast an extension system like no other. Compromising one base arm and five telescopic sections, the Tadano ATF series utilise a double-acting, single-stage hydraulic cylinder that controls precise boom deployment without the use of any cables.
“Innovation and consumer needs are at the forefront of Tadano’s global business development,” said Brendan James.
“The unique cable-free boom design and the use of high-end diesel engine technology is just a sample of Tadano’s commitment to building the best cranes for all mobile crane applications. James Equipment is looking forward to the first delivery of Tadano ATF cranes to satisfy the growing interest we are already witnessing in Australia today.”
Establishing a solid reputation over 15 years, James Equipment has a broad knowledge base of crane engineering and a large network of international suppliers to draw upon.
