Bringing the DJ Adair Crane Services fleet up to 10 cranes, the re-furbished 1999 model Tadano was chosen to meet the demands of bigger loads in ever shrinking spaces of suburban Sydney construction sites.
“Quite simply, the Tadano had the best lift capacity on the chart and it is one of the most versatile. The extra length in the main boom and superior manoeuvrability on our tight access jobs made it hard to go past,” said DJ Adair Crane Services Director Danny Adair.
“It certainly isn’t the fastest crane on the block with a top road speed of only 52kph but our construction jobs seem to be getting tighter as demand for space increases. The Tadano TR-200M-5 is very practical and perfect for tight jobs with big lifting requirements.”
The fleet at DJ Adair Crane services includes crane brands Kato, Grove, Liebherr, Franna and Tadano. When it came time to source the newest recruit, Danny Adair turned to James Equipment for the first time.
“I first spoke to Peter Shelton in Sydney, who I already knew from his previous work in the industry. Peter was a big help and David “chalky” White up in Queensland has worked hard to ensure the crane is up to scratch,” said Danny Adair.
Set to serve the mobile crane hire industry across Sydney, the latest Tadano recruit at DJ Adair Crane Services will first undertake work at a local freeway project in the development of noise barriers.
Establishing a solid reputation over 15 years, James Equipment has a broad knowledge base of crane engineering and a large network of international suppliers to draw upon. Serving the crane industry right across Australia, Melbourne-based James Equipment has an excellent range of used cranes in stock from international manufacturers including Demag, Kato, Liebherr, and Kobelco.
