Hinspeter Cranes was the first company in Australia to order and take delivery of the new generation Tadano GT-550E truck crane, late 2003. Over the intervening years, the Tadano GT-550E has been put to the test by Hinspeter contracts, operating on a range of industrial and construction projects.
Company Director Greg Hinspeter explains why Tadano was again the ideal choice for his newest recruit.
“With the recent flood of work within the crane industry, we realised that now was an ideal time to make another investment in a new Tadano. The performance of our first Tadano GT-550E has been excellent. And with our operator team already familiar with the Tadano’s capabilities, we decided to purchase the same model,” said Greg Hinspeter
The new Tadano has already been assigned further in north Queensland to undertake significant work at a Nickel refinery. The new Tadano GT-550E was delivered by James Equipment stock standard, apart from state road regulatory compliance changes that James Equipment undertook prior to delivery.
The significant increase in safety features on the Tadano GT-550E model crane was another deciding factor for Greg Hinspeter.
“Safety is an ongoing concern in our industry and the difference in safety specifications between the Tadano GT-550E and some of our older fleet cranes is remarkable,” said Greg Hinspeter.
“Like our first GT-550E, the new Tadano crane is a solid investment for us. By delivering economical performance, high safety levels and easy operation for all our operators too, we don’t have to worry about allocating a specially-trained driver to use only one machine- it’s very cost effective.”
With a 55 tonne capacity and user friendly operations, the new GT-550E crane is a truly versatile workhorse. The 83km/h ground speed speaks volumes when travelling long distances between jobs while the 42m boom is crucial to servicing large loads on smaller worksites.
It has been a busy time for James Equipment’s National Sales Manager David White. David not only handled the most recent crane acquisition for Hinspeter Cranes, but also assisted in delivering a refurbished Tadano TR100ML in August to the Queensland operator.
“Our fully refurbished TR100ML is typical of the Tadano product being user friendly and economically friendly to our bottom line,” said Greg Hinspeter.
“Our new Tadano GT-550E is certainly one of the most capable and economical cranes to run. James Equipment had the availability when we needed a second crane and they delivered the crane on time, ready for work.”
Establishing a solid reputation over 15 years, James Equipment has a broad knowledge base of crane engineering and a large network of international suppliers to draw upon. Serving the crane industry right across Australia, Melbourne-based James Equipment has an excellent range of used cranes in stock from international manufacturers including Demag, Kato, Liebherr, and Kobelco.
