The first grandson to be President of the Tadano Company, Mr Koichi Tadano makes a point of visiting a different international Tadano dealership every month.
The entire James Equipment staff was on hand to meet Mr Tadano and senior management associate at Tadano, Mr Nishida. Honoured by the visit, company director Brendan James marked the importance of the occasion by presenting a commemorative plaque to Mr Tadano.
“We are extremely proud to be in association with Tadano and we wish to thank them for the wonderful job they have done in supporting not only us but the Australian market over the last 35 years,” said Brendan James.
“James Equipment is the Australian home of Tadano and we are honoured by the visit of Mr Tadano to his Australian ‘home’.”
When addressing the staff, Mr Tadano made special note of his first visit to Australia 33 years ago when he embarked on a cycling journey from Sydney to Melbourne.
Following the presentation, Mr Tadano outlined his vision of Tadano becoming an even bigger brand in Australia, confident that James Equipment is the company to deliver continued success.
Mr Tadano took great pleasure in meeting the team behind the successful re-establishment of the Tadano name in Australia. Currently the Australian market leader in truck cranes, Tadano is anticipating further market achievement when James Equipment takes delivery of the new range of award winning Tadano All-Terrain cranes in early 2006.
Tadano established itself in a remote corner of Japan in 1948. The fledgling Tadano company built an outstanding range of quality machines that not only benefited the company, but also the local community and the surrounding environment. This successful philosophy was soon appreciated by customers both in Japan and internationally.
This policy has earned Tadano a world wide reputation for uncompromising quality, delivering a commanding range of rough terrain and all terrain cranes, truck cranes, truck loaders, aerial platforms and related product equipment.
James Equipment became the exclusive Australian Tadano distributor in 2003. Over the intervening years, James Equipment has successfully taken on the task of re-invigorating sales of new and used Tadano products. As a consequence, Tadano sales figures have soared with James Equipment anticipating future sales growth of 20-25% over the next 3-5 years.
“The most critical part of Tadano’s success in Australia is the people behind the brand. Tadano are experts in their field and our team supporting the brand in Australia are the best in the business. We have the best product and the best people,” said Brendan James.
Establishing a solid reputation over 15 years, James Equipment has a broad knowledge base of crane engineering and a large network of international suppliers to draw upon. Serving the crane industry right across Australia, Melbourne-based James Equipment has an excellent range of used cranes in stock from international manufacturers including Demag, Kato, Liebherr, and Kobelco.
