Lewis Marine Announced as Quintrex Australian Dealer of the Year
Hobart marine dealer Lewis Marine has logged another accolade in being announced the Australian Dealer of the Year 2009 by Quintrex.
Quintrex aluminium boats is Australia’s largest selling brand of boat.
For dealership principal and prominent Hobart boating identity Hughie Lewis, the award came as a complete surprise.
“With the opening of our massive new showroom we have been absorbed by the day to day tasks of getting the showroom up and running while concurrently attending to the needs of our customers,” Hughie reflected.
“We have certainly had a great year with Quintrex and we carry a lot of Quintrex aluminium boats in stock. This award has crept up on us and has come as a very pleasant surprise.”
According to Jason Boal, Quintrex’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Lewis Marine has excelled during an especially tough time for marine dealers.
“From Quintrex’s perspective we have noticed that Lewis Marine has done a lot right over 2009,” Jason said.
“Lewis Marine has consistently presented the Quintrex product to the highest standard. The Lewis Marine premises are first rate and the team at Lewis Marine has demonstrated excellent customer service.”
“As Hobart does not have an annual boat show like the mainland capital cities, Lewis Marine takes pride in presenting their own in-house boat show. This is a well organised event, promoting not only the Quintrex brand, but pleasure boating in general.”
While the Quintrex Australian Dealer of the Year award is not awarded to the dealer who sells the most boats, Quintrex nonetheless recognised the big increase in the number of Quintrex boats stocked and sold by Lewis Marine.
“There are any number of mainland Quintrex dealers who sell more Quintrex boats than we do,” Hughie Lewis said, “but on a per capita basis I reckon we do a pretty good job in Tasmania. Quintrex boats are quality designed and quality built boats that are ideally suited to both inland and salt water boating conditions in Tassie”.
