Sea Quest Boats Under New Ownership

The popular range of Brisbane built Sea Quest luxury cruisers is now being marketed by popular industry stalwart, John Young together with his wife Ali.

Trading under the name of Sea Quest Boat Sales Pty Ltd, John Young has acquired from company founder and previous owner Bob Trask, the exclusive marketing rights to the Sea Quest brand and model line up.

“We are very pleased to have acquired the sole rights to market the Sea Quest line up,” John Young said.

“I enjoyed a wonderful introduction to the range working as Sea Quest sales manager for Bob Trask.  We got to tossing some ideas around and before long I was the owner of Sea Quest Boat Sales.”

John Young is well known in the Australian boat building community, having founded the Kevlacat Company that designed and built a full line up of fibreglass power catamarans.

“I have a great deal of faith and confidence in the Sea Quest product,” John said.

“We may be a small company when compared to the giants of the boating industry in Queensland, but our strength lies in our size.  Our production is very definitely one of high quality – low volume and this makes every one of our customers very special indeed.”

From the outside perspective of consumers, there is very little that has changed about the Sea Quest product.  The company remains Brisbane based, sales manager Stu Smith remains with the company and all existing orders will be met as contracted.

“Its business as usual at Sea Quest,” John Young said.
