The smooth riding characteristics of the tried and tested 585 series hull can be attributed to the 20° of deadrise at the transom. The sharp entry and extra depth at the bow, coupled with a generous beam width, makes light work of choppy conditions and offers solid stability at rest. The hull is built exclusively for outboard configuration.

For boating enthusiasts looking to spend the weekend cruising to offshore destinations, the 585 SportsCruiser is more than capable with an underfloor, 145 litre fuel tank. Although designed to carry a maximum outboard of 175hp, fitting a Yamaha 150hp 4-stroke to the transom gives the Streaker 585 SportsCruiser an extended travelling range unsurpassed for a boat of this size and calibre.

Streaker Boats has implemented a whole new design approach to the new SportsCruiser cabin layout. Both the inside and outside have seen a dramatic change with larger, stylish tinted windows and an extended stainless steel bow rail exuding cruiser quality.

Closer inspection reveals a new wide-line deck affording more cockpit space than on previous 585 models and a forward hatch providing safe cabin access to the bow sprit. Anchor retrieval is now a pleasure thanks to an electric anchor winch, a standard feature of the new 585 SportsCruiser.

Clever use of internal space inside of the cabin includes a Porta Potti, recessed into the starboard side bunk platform. Comfortable V-berth cushions convert to a roomy bed via the in-fills and the cabin is kept light and airy thanks to the tinted side windows.

An innovative helm module provides the skipper with enough space for a full array of marine electronics. A plotter/sounder combination unit is skilfully fitted in a raised dash module while engine instrument gauges are recessed into a colour-coded, stylish dash panel. Marine CD stereo, compass and switch panel complete the ergonomically designed helm setup.

Streaker Boats has worked hard to include all the expected cruiser comforts you would normally find on a much larger boat. The cockpit is a true delight with a fully plumbed sink recessed into the port-side coaming which draws freshwater from a 57 litre onboard tank. A stove is located underneath a hinged pedestal box seat and recessed storage pockets for an EPIRB and fire extinguisher are found either side of the cockpit coamings.

On board boaters are well catered for in true Streaker comfort and style. A large folding rear lounge, complete with integrated cup holders, and a cockpit table are designed for a number of people to relax during onboard entertaining. The table fits into a floor mounted spigots and can be set up either in the aft cockpit or the cabin. Camper covers complete the cockpit setup and provide excellent protection in the event of bad weather or an overnight stay.

The rear of the Streaker 585 SportsCruiser has all the features expected of a dedicated sports boat. The more adventurous members of the family have been well looked after with a broad rear swimming platform which provides a safe and sturdy entry point to the water. A practical, stainless-steel boarding ladder, integrated into the platform module, aids boat entry and exit while the transom mounted hand shower makes cleaning snorkelling and ski equipment a breeze.
