Streaker’s New 6.35 Commander Gets a Hard Top
Streaker Boats’ recently released 6.35 Commander boat has already undergone a facelift with the increasingly popular bluewater fishing rig now adorning a solid fibreglass hard top.
After listening to their loyal customer base, the Streaker design team created a new look Streaker 6.35 Commander Hard Top that stands alone as a new model to offer serious offshore anglers a choice of overhead cover for their new fishing machine.
“Building a hard-top variation of our successful 6.35 Commander was a natural progression for us,” said Streaker Boats’ Co-Director Leon Savage.
“We continually have great feedback from our loyal customers and a selection were saying they’d love to see our new 6.35 Commander with a hard top for heavy offshore protection. We put our design team to work and now we’ve given our customers exactly what they were looking for. We’re delighted with the result.”
The new 6.35 Commander Hard Top consists of a one piece, moulded fibreglass roof pod that has been cleverly crafted by Streaker’s own in-house design team. Compact in nature yet stylish in design, the hard top features a solid glass windscreen with a roof hatch for ventilation and windscreen wiper for those wetter trips out wide.
Unlike many other hardtop designs which incorporate clears on the sides, the Streaker hardtop has solid fibreglass panels both port and starboard with windows incorporated.
Years of innovation with fibreglass manufacturing has given the Streaker team scope to develop a range of innovative boating products. Looking closely at the new hardtop addition, it’s easy to see the professionalism of Streaker’s design work as the new structure blends effortlessly with the current style of the cabin and deck.
Unlike other fibreglass hard top boats, weight has been minimised on the new-look 6.35 Commander with a reinforced composite material used in the roof. Stainless steel grab rails feature on three sides of the structure to allow easy access forward and a secure place to grip when standing in the cockpit.
The new-look 6.35 Commander hard top has done little to change the internal dimensions of the helm area with an internal height of 1.88m and an internal beam width of 1.7m between the pillars. Overall, the total height on a trailer reaches 3.0m from the ground.
