Based at their Bayswater manufacturing plant, the new spray booth is a Streaker Boats Occupational Health and Safety initiative to ensure staff are working in the best and safest environment, while customers will benefit in receiving the highest calibre boating product.

The new Streaker spray booth is large enough to accommodate both a hull and deck for the fibreglass construction process. Spanning the entire rear wall of the booth, a huge exhaust filter takes care of all fumes and particles generated in the fibreglass boat building process. The Streaker workplace is now cleaner and safer than ever before.

“There is always room for improvement in the boating industry and we believe it’s important for us to be at the sharper end of clean and safe manufacturing,” Streaker Boats co-director Leon Savage explained.

“Our booth meets all the Australian OH&S standards in design and allows us the space to gelcoat and laminate both a matching hull and deck at once. It certainly maintains excellent safety+ standards creates while generating greater efficiencies.”

Made from insulated wall modules, the new spray booth is sleek in design and strikes a close resemblance to a research laboratory with extensive lighting on both sides of the stark white interior panels and roof for maximum visual enhancement.

The Streaker production line has had minimal disruption through the installation and commissioning process. All Streaker employees who use the booth fully appreciate its added benefits.

“We build a lot of boats and we wanted to make sure our hard working Streaker Boat team undertook their tasks in the safest possible environment,” said Leon Savage.

“The new spray booth accommodates all our fibreglass building needs. We are consistently running our manufacturing plant at full capacity so any added benefit to our busy plant can only be considered a good thing- we’re very pleased.”
