Bob Trask has enjoyed a long and distinguished powerboat racing career.  Working his way through a variety of outboard classes, Bob burst onto the Australia Formula 1 circuit in the late 1980’s.

Bob quickly established himself as a hard charging competitor determined to win under his own terms.  His early F1 race boats were built by Bob himself at home in his garage.  These timber hulls performed creditably at first, but with an eye to successful hulls and a flair for design, Bob Trask’s boat soon began to become more and more competitive.

With great success on the Australian circuit, the UIM F1 World Championship soon commanded his attention.  Rather than running just a round or two, Bob Trask formed a two boat team committed to contesting the entire World Series schedule.

For the 2003 season, running under the SeaQuest livery, the Trask F1 team shared the BABA Racing franchise with Italian driver Massimo Roggiero. BABA-SeaQuest hit the water for the first time in Portimao Portugal in April 2003. Making waves on and off the water BABA-SeaQuest became the team to watch for wild action on the water and presentation in pit lane.

With the mid season arrival of their huge Australian built transporter and the debut of the unique GTR-F1 boat, the Milan based Aussies proved themselves to be the most innovative team in the series.

An all Australian Team for 2004, SeaQuest F1 stunned the establishment by arriving in Mumbai India with two new '2nd Generation" GTR Boats. Bob Trask and younger brother David proceeded to bring both boats home in the top 10, thus kicking off a great season.

The Trask Brothers and SeaQuest F1 enjoyed solid performances in 2005, scoring points regularly and always showing great reliability.

The future looks even brighter.  The TDC/SeaQuest F1 team is committed to contesting the 2006 series with two new boats and the knowledge that the team is competitive in the fields of hulls, engines and driver ability.
