Attracting over 400 adult and junior entrants, the Bush ‘N Beach Family Fishing Classic again stamped itself as the calendar local fishing event for Wynnum Shire.

Spread over a frantic three days, the Bush ’N Beach Family Fishing Classic is a family orientated saltwater fishing competition conducted out of Manly Harbour in southern Queensland. Strict tournament guidelines stipulate 8 categories of species to be targeted with anglers also adhering to State fish size and bag limit regulations.

With over 45 tournament sponsors, the Bush ’N Beach Family Fishing Classic attracted over $30,000 worth of cash and prizes. Delivering the major tournament prize, major sponsor Wynnum Marine is proud to be associated with a tournament that promotes both families and responsible fishing.

Supplied by Wynnum Marine, the major prize featured a 4.10m Ally Craft V-Bow Shadow Legend with 30hp Yamaha outboard, Redco trailer, all safety gear plus EAGLE sounder, canopy, boat registration and insurance. Wayne Poetti from Capalaba in Queensland took home the major lucky draw prize.

Both the Australian Volunteer Coastguard and Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club raised much needed funds from tournament raffles making the Bush ’N Beach Family Fishing Classic a must do for next year.
