Yamaha Powers Brooklyn Marina on the Hawkesbury
More Yamaha outboards are expected to grace the picturesque waters of the Hawkesbury River with Brooklyn Marina now an authorised agent for the Yamaha brand of outboards.
Nestled among spectacular National Parks an hour north of Sydney, the Hawkesbury River is a jewel in the NSW boating crown and Brooklyn Marina believes the clean and efficient Yamaha outboard brand is an ideal fit for their pristine and popular local waterway.
Brooklyn Marina offers a suite of services from houseboat and tinnie hire to full marina and shipwright services. Yamaha 4-stroke outboards have made up a significant proportion of the engines used both on the houseboats and day-hire boats in service with their reliability and performance speaking volumes for the brand.
“We are very happy with our new partnership with Yamaha,” said Brooklyn Marina Director Paul Ritter.

Established in 1959, the Brooklyn Marina is an iconic boating landmark on the Hawkesbury River that serves a very close boating community around Brooklyn. Paul purchased the marina over 10 years ago and has worked hard to modernise the premises and develop more services. Paul expects his new partnership with Yamaha will bring a range of benefits to his customer base.
“We inherited a range of outboard powered work boats when we first purchased the business,” said Paul.
“By changing our older 2-stroke engines for new Yamaha 4-stroke outboards we halved our fuel bill. Our Yamaha 4-strokes are so reliable and require less service work than our older 2-stroke engines which means more savings.”
Having experienced the benefits of owning Yamaha outboards and seeing an opportunity to promote the brand, Paul Ritter took the step towards bringing more Yamaha outboards onto the Hawkesbury.
“This is a great opportunity to further promote the many benefits of owning a Yamaha outboard to our local boating community,” said Paul.
“We want to re-establish the Yamaha brand throughout our local waterway and build more confidence in the product by demonstrating our success with our own Yamaha outboards. There are local businesses on the waterway like oyster farmers that could also benefit from using Yamaha 4-strokes like we have.”
The Brooklyn Marina offers an array of marine services with a qualified shipwright, marine electrician and marine mechanic on site. Boat storage is well accommodated with 44 berths and 33 moorings and day tourists are attracted by the safe and family friendly atmosphere with great access to the beautiful waterway.
Yamaha outboards are available through an Australia-wide network of authorised Yamaha outboard dealers. All Yamaha 4-stroke outboards are supported with a full 4-year manufacturer’s warranty and all 2-stroke outboards are backed by a 3 year warranty – standard conditions apply.
