Yanmar Guard Makes Workplace Safe
The popular Yanmar TF series of diesel work engines has been upgraded with the addition of a factory fitted safety guard.
Yanmar’s TF series engine is a single cylinder, water cooled engine that is available in a variety of configurations from 5mhp to 14mhp.
This engine features a side mounted flywheel to which a Yanmar factory supplied power-take-off shaft can be bolted. Typically the Yanmar TF engine is used in pumping applications or to drive a variety of machinery via a vee belt.
The new safety guard is a sturdy steel design which is bolted to the TF engine in five places. The guard covers not only the spinning flywheel but also the pinion and drive on the starter motor.
In the workplace the Yanmar TF series engine now offers significant occupational health and safety benefits to workers operating this equipment.
