Yanmar Invertor Generator A First
Yanmar has again led the world with the release of the industry leading diesel powered eG100i inverter type generator set rated up to 7.5KVA standby.
Using state of the art inverter technology, the Yanmar eG100i adjusts engine rpm to suit the load and in doing so can result in fuel savings of up to 40% against comparable conventional diesel generator sets. As an added bonus, due to the engine rpm being adjusted according to load, the Yanmar eG100i is also typically much quieter (up to 10dB(A) depending upon application) than comparative conventional units.
The eG100i is driven by the state of the art Yanmar 2TNV70 diesel engine which is already Tier 3 emission compliant. In combination with the inverter technology, when operating at 25% load the eG100i has a typical fuel consumption of only 1.1litres per hour and this increases to a still thrifty 3.0 litres per hour at full load. With a built in fuel tank of 32 litres, this exceptional fuel economy gives the eG100i a run time of at least 11 hours and up to 29 hours between fills depending upon load.
The alternator is a special build 2 pole design with standard voltage options.
According to Noel Heritage at Power Equipment, the Australian Distributor for Yanmar, the market acceptance of this unit has been nothing short of exceptional.
“Our first shipment was sold out before the container landed in our warehouse,” Noel Heritage said.
“Sales in remote regions of the Northern Territory and Queensland have dominated. This is a seriously efficient gen set that could be used to supplement solar systems, and in remote locations that are off the grid needing reliable power.”
The Yanmar eG100i is a lightweight and compact unit which is easily transported to and can be relocated around a property as needs and demand changes. The base is designed to be picked up by a fork lift or pallet mover making it quick and simple to relocate in an instant.
